Majella O'Donnell's daughter Siobhan has given birth to a baby girl called Olivia.
The news was announced last night by Majella on twitter and the 54-year-wife of Daniel O'Donnell said both mother and baby were doing well.
"Delighted to announce that my daughter Siobhan has just given birth to a beautiful baby girl," she wrote. "Welcome to the world Olivia Shields. All well."
On behalf of herself and Daniel, Majella wrote: "We're so looking forward to being grandparents." She added: "I've a room done up for when they visit. We're so excited, we can’t wait."
Majella O'Donnell subsequently tweeted a tribute to singer and TV presenter Cilla Black who passed away yesterday: "So happy to have my new granddaughter but shocked to hear of Cilla's passing.
"We had some good times together. Rest in peace chuck."
