The first full trailer for Black Mass, the Johnny Depp-starring biopic of Irish-American mobster James 'Whitey' Bulger, has been released.
Directed by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart), Black Mass also stars Joel Edgerton, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rory Cochrane, Jesse Plemons, Kevin Bacon, Dakota Johnson, Corey Stoll, Peter Sarsgaard and Juno Temple.
The film tells the story of how Bulger became an FBI informant in 1970s Boston as the Bureau sought to target the Italian mafia. It was an "unholy alliance", the filmmakers say, which "spiralled out of control".
After almost 17 years on the run, Bulger was captured in 2011 and was sentenced to two life terms plus five years for the crimes he committed, including 11 murders.
Black Mass is released in Ireland on Friday November 13.
