A new two day indoor music festival in Dublin has been launched. Metropolis Festival takes place in November and boasts a strong line up including Mark Ronson, Jamie XX, The Roots and Chic.

The festival will take place in Dublin's RDS on November 7 and 8 and will feature six rooms of live music, performance, conversations and artistic installations, which organisers say will transform the space into an "audio-visual playground".

Uptown Funk hitmaker Mark Ronson is one of the main headline acts along with Jamie xx, Giorgio Moroder and Todd Terje.

The Roots will also take to the Metropolis stage over the weekend for their first Dublin date in over 10 years.

After a gig in the Iveagh Gardens this summer and a headline slot at last year's Electric Picnic, CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers are Dublin-bound once again.

Jeff Mills, Tiga, Kerri Chandler, Maribou State, Dorian Concept, Matthew Herbert, Nosaj Thing, Kormac's Big Band and Cloud Castle Lake round out the first set of names to be announced.

Early bird weekend tickets on sale at 9am this Friday through Ticketmaster and usual outlets.
