Jon Snow fans have another reason to feel hope as Game of Thrones star Carice van Houten, who plays the mystical Melisandre in the fantasy series, said she believes he isn't dead.
Viewers watched in horror as Snow (Kit Harington) appeared to be killed at the end of season five at the hands of his fellow members of the Night's Watch.
However, many have mused that he may survive the attack and return for the next season of the HBO fantasy show next year.
Van Houten was asked by fans if she believed he had passed away at the London Film and Comic Con, to which she replied: "No, he can't be dead. No".
Many have mused that her character Melisandre could have a hand in reviving the Night's Watch commander. In response to that possibility the actress didn't give away too much information, saying: "I've seen that on the internet; like I've seen stuff saying, 'We'll forgive you if you save him'."
The sixth season of Game of Thrones returns to HBO and Sky Atlantic next year.
Will Jon Snow be back for season six?
