Strange but true - Alien star Sigourney Weaver has filmed an unlikely cameo for ITV's Cornwall-set comedy-drama Doc Martin.
While ITV confirmed the Ghostbusters actress was in Port Isaac, Cornwall to film scenes, the broadcaster refused to reveal details of Weaver's character.
In online fan footage, Weaver is seen in the series' Portwenn Chemist as Dr Martin Ellingham (Martin Clunes) arrives.
The new series of Doc Martin, the seventh, is due to air on ITV in the Autumn.
The hit show is a cult favourite in the United States.
