Former AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has appeared in court following his arrest at the weekend in New Zealand. The development came just over a week after he was sentenced to home detention after threatening to kill a man who worked for him.
The 61-year-old musician was arrested at his home on New Zealand's North Island on Saturday (July 18) and was charged with breaching the conditions of his home detention sentence. He spent Sunday in custody.
Since the most recent arrest he now must undergo drug and alcohol testing when required.
This morning Rudd appeared in court accused of consuming alcohol in breach of his home detention sentence where he entered no plea to the new charge. He must appear at the New Zealand court again in two weeks.
According to reports he stuck his two fingers up at the media as he arrived at court today.
Rudd was sentenced to eight months of home confinement on July 9 after pleading guilty to threatening to kill a former employee and for possession of drugs.
The drummer will not be taking part in AC/DC's current world tour.
