Sinead O'Connor has celebrated the birth of her first grandchild.
The Nothing Compares 2 U star's eldest son Jake and his girlfriend Lia welcomed a baby boy on Friday.
O'Connor announced the happy news on Facebook, posting a cartoon which said "It's A Boy", along with the caption "Don't mess with Abuelita!!"
On Thursday she posted about her excitement about becoming a grandmother, writing: "OMG! Am literally hours away from the greatest dream of my life coming true! #Granny!"
Earlier this week, O'Connor hit out at E! reality star Kim Kardashian saying "music has officially died" after US magazine Rolling Stone put the 34-year-old on its front cover.
In an expletive-leaden Facebook post, the singer wrote "What is this **** doing on the cover of Rolling Stone? Music has officially died". She continued: "Who knew it would be Rolling Stone that murdered it?"
The cover features Kardashian in a sailor's hat with her striped t-shirt off her shoulders to reveal her famous cleavage.
