The next James Bond movie Spectre will get its world premiere in London on Monday October 26, 2015.

And in a first for the long-running spy franchise, fans will also have the opportunity to see the latest 007 adventure that same night when it opens in cinemas across the UK as well as here in Ireland.

Spectre's worldwide release will follow, including a US opening on November 6.

The 24th film in the series based on the character created by Ian Fleming is the fourth starring Daniel Craig as James Bond. It's directed by Sam Mendes, who remained at the helm after calling the shots on the previous instalment, 2012's Skyfall.

Craig is joined in the cast by Christoph Waltz, Léa Seydoux, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, David Bautista and Monica Bellucci, Ralph Fiennes returns as MI6 head, M.

Spectre sees Bond receive a cryptic message from his past, sending him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. As the truth about SPECTRE is revealed, M must deal with political forces to keep the secret service alive.
