Fans of Aidan Turner will soon get a glimpse of the actor in a new role after filming began on BBC One's three-part adaptation of the Agatha Christie classic And Then There Were None.
And Then There Were None is set in Devon in 1939 as a group of strangers who have been invited to a house realise there may be a killer among them.
The Poldark hunk joins an all star cast including Charles Dance, Sam Neill, Miranda Richardson, Toby Stephens and Noah Taylor in the adaptation. And Then There Were None will air on BBC One later this year to mark the 125th anniversary of Agatha Christie's birth.
Polly Hill, Controller of BBC Drama Commissioning, said: "We are thrilled to be bringing Agatha Christie's wonderful novel to the television screen for the first time".
Meanwhile Aidan Turner fever has now reached the United States after Poldark hit television screens there. PBS has begun broadcasting the BBC period drama, accompanied by a Vanity Fair profile that described Turner as “the official Mr Darcy of the 2015 summer season”.
In its review Variety referred to the Dubliner's famous physique, asking: “Who knew there were ab exercises in the 18th century?”
You're welcome America.
