It is reported that Jeremy Clarkson, his former Top Gear colleagues James May and Richard Hammond and executive producer Andy Wilman could agree a deal in the US so that they can circumvent the "no-compete" clause in their old BBC contracts.

The Daily Mirror says the quartet cannot produce a motoring show for any UK television rival of the BBC's until 2017, but that making a show for a foreign production company or streaming platform and then licensing it to ITV is an option.
