Aaron Paul has hinted that he might be joining the Star Wars universe as details of a Han Solo spin-off movie are released.

Rumours began to circulate that Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul would take the title role of Han Solo in the upcoming Anthology film based on the character's early years, but no confirmation has been released.

The star did however tease the possibility that he is on board for the project on his Instagram account this morning, sharing a picture of the Star Wars official Twitter profile with the caption: "My dreams are coming true."

We don't know for sure, but it sure sounds like Jesse Pinkman is headed for a galaxy far, far away.

The character of Han Solo was played by Harrison Ford in the original Star Wars trilogy, and he is set to reprise his role in the highly anticipated The Force Awakens, which hits cinemas on December 18.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the duo behind The Lego Movie, are set to helm the film. Miller actually interned at Lucasfilm as a young filmmaker.

The directing pair released a statement announcing their newest project saying it is a dream come true to be involved with the Star Wars universe: "This is the first film we've worked on that seems like a good idea to begin with.

"We promise to take risks, to give the audience a fresh experience, and we pledge ourselves to be faithful stewards of these characters who mean so much to us.

"This is a dream come true for us. And not the kind of dream where you're late for work and all your clothes are made of pudding, but the kind of dream where you get to make a film with some of the greatest characters ever, in a film franchise you've loved since before you can remember having dreams at all."

Lawrence Kasdan, who penned the screenplays for Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi and the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, will also write the currently untitled Han Solo Anthology film.

The film will focus on the adventures of a young Han Solo and is slated for release on May 25, 2018.
