Simpsons fans rejoice - veteran voice actor Harry Shearer has signed a contract to return to the long-running Fox comedy.
Shearer, who voiced many of the show's favourite characters including Mr Burns, Ned Flanders, and Principal Skinner, announced in May that he was quitting the show after a dispute with producers over his freedom to do other work.
However, it looks like the dispute has been resolved, as Shearer has signed the same contract as his five fellow main castmembers for the 27th season of the show, Entertainment Weekly reports.
He and Dan Castellaneta, Yeardley Smith, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, and Hank Azaria are said to have signed deals which run for four seasons and are estimated at more than $300,000 per episode.
So there's no end in sight for The Simpsons any time soon. Excellent.
The 27th season of The Simpsons will return to Fox on September 27.
