Chloe Grace Moretz is to replace Dakota Fanning in Brain on Fire, the new film from Glassland and Pilgrim Hill director Gerard Barrett.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Fanning had to leave the project due to scheduling conflicts.
Brain on Fire has been adapted by Kerry filmmaker Barrett from Susannah Cahalan's bestselling memoir Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness, and Charlize Theron's production company, Denver & Delilah Films, is co-producing.
