J.K. Rowling has confirmed that a Harry Potter play will be opening in London next year.
The author announced the news on Twitter today (June 26), saying that the play called Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will tell a new story she has written alongside writer Jack Thorne and director John Tiffany.
Although plot details were not revealed as she doesn't want to spoil the play, Rowling promised it will be a "real treat for fans".
She also went on to deny that the play will be a prequel, as was previously reported.
I'm also very excited to confirm today that a new play called Harry Potter and the #CursedChild will be opening in London next year.
