In a new behind-the-scenes video about the making of season two of True Detective, Colin Farrell says there are "greater forces at play than what you actually see taking place" in the HBO series.
Joining Farrell in the series are Taylor Kitsch, Rachel McAdams, Vince Vaughn and Kelly Reilly.
Farrell plays Detective Ray Velcoro; Kitsch's character is California Highway Patrolman Paul Woodrugh; McAdams plays FBI agent Ani Bezzerides; Vaughn plays criminal Frank Semyon and Kelly Reilly plays his wife, Jordan.
Another Irish actor, Timothy V Murphy, is also among the cast, playing Osip Agranov.
