Nine more episodes of Penny Dreadful, the Sky horror drama which is shot entirely in Ireland, have been ordered by US network Showtime.
The series stars Eva Green, Timothy Dalton and Josh Hartnett as an explorer, an American gunslinger, and a medium who join forces to combat supernatural threats in Victorian London.
The first two seasons of the show were shot in Dublin and Wicklow. Irish actress Sarah Greene joined the cast for the second series, which is currently being screened on Sky Atlantic.
Penny Dreadful has contributed €33m to the Irish economy in terms of jobs and services and has employed over 350 Irish cast and crew.
The third season will begin shooting in Dublin later this year and will screen on Sky Atlantic in 2016.
