Aaron Paul displayed a rather curious sense of humour over the weekend when he hoaxed a new Breaking Bad spin-off starring slacker meth head Jesse Pinkman.
The actor, who rose to stardom playing Pinkman in the hit AMC drama, nearly broke the internet when he posted an Instagram on Saturday reading:
"Can’t wait to tell you what this is all about. It’s top secret for now but you all will know soon enough. It’s a new gig that I am over the moon about. Thank you angel for sending this to me from across the country. Love you lots and lots."
Fans hoping for another Breaking Bad spin-off following the success of Better Call Saul were teased further when Paul then shared a link to a Periscope stream.
The 12-minute video begins with the actor saying, “I’m gonna tell you all some news that I’ve been dying to tell you for some time”.
After long minutes of kidding around, Paul finally announced that a Jesse Pinkman spin-off was indeed on the way.
And then he added that he was only joking. Aaron, there are some things you just do not joke about.
