Inherent Vice star Katherine Waterston has been cast opposite Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne in the upcoming Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Deadline.com reports that Waterston will play Tina (short for Porpentina), a witch in the US.
Redmayne's character, magizoologist Newt Scamander, meets her while on his adventures in New York.
Harry Potter author JK Rowling will make her screenwriting debut on the film, which is part of a trilogy and due for release on November 18, 2016.
David Yates, who directed the last four Potter films, is directing.
