Amy Poehler is in final negotiations to star alongside Will Ferrell in the comedy, The House.
She will play Ferrell's wife in the film, which follows a married couple who have to try and make up their daughter's college fund after blowing their savings.
To try and make up the required amount of cash they decide to team up with their neighbours and start running an illegal casino in their basement.
The film has been penned by Neighbors writers Andrew J Cohen and Brendan O'Brien, with Cohen also taking the director's role. Ferrell is producing the film alongside O'Brien, Adam McKay, Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake.
Poehler recently wrapped production on comedy Sisters alongside Tina Fey and has leant her voice for Pixar's much-anticipated Inside Out, which is set to be released on July 24.
