Former ER star John Stamos has been arrested for allegedly driving under the influence.
According to an ABC News report, the 51-year-old actor was stopped on Friday night (June 12) after the Beverly Hills Police Department received a number of calls regarding a possible DUI driver.
According to the Beverly Hills Police Department, police stopped a vehicle at around 7.45pm local time and identified the driver as Stamos through his statement and his California driver's licence.
The actor was then taken to a local hospital for a possible medical condition and a further investigation revealed that he was driving under the influence and was subsequently arrested.
Stamos was given a citation for the DUI and was released to the care of the hospital, with the actor set to appear in court later this year on the back of the DUI charge.
As well as ER, Stamos is known for his role as Uncle Jesse on the US sitcom Full House. That show was recently confirmed for a Netflix revival called Fuller House, which is expected to debut in 2016.
