Four-time All Ireland Camogie champion, four-time Allstar and former Cork Rose Anna Geary has been announced as a new coach on the third series of Ireland’s Fittest Family and it sounds like she means business.

The Cork Camogie champion has already come out fighting. "I don’t care about being popular. I’m there to win, and I’ll be making sure the families are too," she says.

"Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind, it might seem harsh at the time when you’re roaring at someone who’s under pressure, but if they get the results at the end of the day that’s all that matters."

The pressure will be on Anna to make sure she doesn't become the first female coach not to win the title after both Nikki Symmons and Derval O'Rourke brought their two families to glory in the first two series.

Anna says she is looking forward to psyching out the other coaches, in particular Davy Fitzgerald. "I have a few tricks up my sleeve for Davy. I’m not there to make friends, I’m there to win."

The new series of Ireland's Fittest Family will be filmed over the summer with 12 Irish families competing for the €15,000 prize and the coveted title of Ireland’s Fittest Family.
