Watch! Jurassic's Howard on dinos, heels & Ireland

Bryce Dallas Howard
Bryce Dallas Howard

With Jurassic World out this Thursday, TEN's Taragh Loughrey-Grant met star Bryce Dallas Howard in London, where along with talking about her character, she shared her memories of the first Jurassic movie and the time she spent in Ireland as a child.

Howard plays Jurassic World boss Claire in the film and said of her character: "When you first meet her she's very assertive and rigid, controlling, myopic and, in many cases, wrongheaded. Her outfit is white and she's sterile-looking.

"And then, when everything kind of goes crazy in Jurassic World, she ultimately ends up in the jungle and is on this mission to save the park and, specifically, her nephews. During that process she reconnects with her own humanity and her vulnerability and, ultimately, her greatest power.

"It was fantastic to get to play a character that had that kind of an arc in this context of this movie. You never quite expect when you're reading an action film that characters are going to be as developed as that."

You can find out more about Howard's work on the film, what she thought of the original Jurassic Park, and her memories of living in Dublin and Dingle by clicking the link above.
