Stars of new Netflix thriller Sense8, Daryl Hannah and Tuppence Middleton, talk to TEN about working with the Wachowkis, what it was like filming across eight cities, and bringing the unique concept of the series to life.
The show, which stars Hannah and Jupiter Ascending's Middleton among the international cast, follows the lives of eight 'sensates' around the world who experience a violent vision followed by the ability to connect with each other's thoughts, actions and emotions.
Suddenly, these eight strangers must piece together how and why this happened before a mysterious organisation hunts them down and destroys them.
Hannah stars as Angel, who at the very beginning of the series makes a tough decision that leads to the sensate inside of the eight main characters being born.
Middleton plays Icelandic DJ Riley, who lives and works in London.
Created and written by the Wachowskis (The Matrix) and J Michael Straczynski (Changeling), Sense8 marks the Wachowskis' first TV series - and is one of Netflix's most ambitious offerings to date.
The entire season of 12 episodes premieres on Netflix worldwide today, June 5.
