Open Road Films has acquired the US rights to the upcoming Liam Neeson thriller A Willing Patriot, which has yet to go into production.
Deadline.com reports that the film tells the story of a CIA agent on the hunt for a terrorist whose attack is imminent.
The script has been written by The Escape Plan and Machine Gun Preacher writer Jason Keller, and the film will be directed by Applause and A Funny Man director Martin Zandvliet.
A 2016 release is planned.
