A mere six weeks after its release, Avengers: Age of Ulton has become the sixth highest-grossing film of all time after taking a whopping $1.32 billion at the box office.
The superhero blockbuster has overtaken massive money-spinners Frozen, Iron Man 3, The Lord Of The Rings: The Return of the King and Skyfall but it still lags behind Joss Whedon's first Avengers movie, Avengers Assemble.
The first Avengers film is third on the all-time list with global takings of $1.51 billion. James Cameron's Avatar is No 1 on the list with a global gross of $2.79 billion, and Cameron's Titanic is No 2 at $2.19 billion.
The number of films to have grossed over $1 billion at the global box office has now risen to 21.
