Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan says that he tries to stay away from social media so he can live a normal life and ignore the media attention fame brings.
Speaking to GoldDerby.com, the 33-year-old The Fall actor, said: "The fame doesn’t feel that palpable until you’re online, so I’m actively trying to avoid social media at the moment because it suddenly just feels real – that there are all these people who are interested in what you’re doing."
“In our everyday lives it doesn’t seem to have a huge affect. I mean, we live a pretty quiet life – my wife [Amelia] and I and our baby – and we’re not massively aware of it.
“We just go about our day, we’re not chased down the street or anything. People whisper here and there, but it’s not out of control at the moment I’m pleased to say."
He added: "But I’m far less aware of it than if I was actively on Twitter – I step back from all that because it’s unhealthy.”
Doran explained that his busy work schedule helps him from staying out of the limelight, saying: “Another thing that’s been good is that I’ve been consistently working.
“When you’re working you’re in a bubble so you’re not as aware of it [the fame]“.
