With his new film San Andreas now in cinemas, it is reported that Dwayne Johnson is in talks to star in a remake of John Carpenter's 1986 cult action-comedy classic Big Trouble in Little China.

Deadline.com says that the film, which will be made by Twentieth Century Fox, is "in the very early stages", and the script has yet to be written.

Big Trouble in Little China originally starred Kurt Russell, Kim Cattrall and Dennis Dun, and followed the misadventures of Jack Burton (Russell), a bungling truck driver who becomes embroiled in sorcery in San Francisco's Chinatown.
