Classic seventies jazz rockers Steely Dan have created the ultimate erudite rockers dream team and teamed up with Elvis Costello and The Imposters for the Rockabye Gollie Angel tour.
The summer jaunt is set to begin at Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 6, taking in 20 cities before concluding on August 12 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Steely Dan has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and enjoyed massive hit singles in the 1970s with songs like Reelin’ in the Years, Rikki Don't Lose That Number, F.M., Peg, Hey Nineteen, Deacon Blues and Babylon Sisters.
Its front-men and founders, Walter Becker and Donald Fagen reunited the band project in the early '90s and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.
Costello is currently performing 21 solo dates in the UK, with Birmingham, Brighton, Harrogate, Gateshead, Manchester, Liverpool, Cambridge and other cities still to come.
