Damascus Cover, the upcoming spy thriller starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, has extended its global reach with sales to a number of countries.
Variety reports that the film was sold to companies in South Africa, India, Vietnam and China at the Cannes Film Festival.
Deals had already been completed for Spain, the Balkans, the Middle East, South Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia.
In Damascus Cover Rhys Meyers plays an undercover agent sent to Syria in 1989 to help a chemical weapons scientist and his family leave the country.
The film is based on the Howard Kaplan book of the same name and also stars John Hurt, Olivia Thirlby, Igal Maor, Jurgen Prochnow and Navid Negahban.
