TG4 soap Ros na Rún, crime drama Corp + Anam and the documentary Katie were among the big winners at the 2015 Oireachtas na Gaeilge Media Awards, which were presented in Galway over the weekend.
The station won five awards in total including TV Broadcaster of the Year: Seán Mac a tSíthigh (Nuacht TG4) and Actor of the Year: Dara Devaney for the thriller An Bronntanas.

The Irish language TV soap is celebrating its 20th season on TG4 and is held in high regard for its portrayal of the lives and loves of a small village on the western seaboard.
TV series of the Year: Corp + Anam (produced by MagaMedia)
The acclaimed and award-winning gritty crime thriller that chronicles the difficult professional and intense personal life of a tenacious TV crime reporter had already won plaudits for its first season. This second series also dealt with the murky corners of life on the fringes of the law, and interrogated the frenzied role the media play in presenting human tragedies as consumable bite-size news.
TV Programme of the Year: Katie (produced by Fócas Films)
A heart-warming documentary that tells the very personal story of Katie O’Halloran, a young Connemara woman. Her indomitable spirit has risen to meet the enormous challenge placed on her and on her family by her rare medical condition. She was born with Femur Fibula Ulna Syndrome but is determined to use modern technology to ensure that this condition will not rule her life.
TV Broadcaster of the Year: Seán Mac a tSíthigh (Nuacht TG4)
The West Kerry native is a natural visual storyteller and has pioneered the use of video journalism to report on the issues and personalities of his native patch - and much further afield. In doing so he has won prizes at national and European level and this Irish language award is of particular significance for him.
Actor of the Year: Dara Devaney
His compelling performance as the central character in the Connemara based film/TV thriller An Bronntanas brought him to the attention of a much wider audience and much is expected of an actor who already has an extensive list of stage/TV and film credits to his name.
