Jeremy Clarkson has broken his silence on his departure from Top Gear, saying it has left a "big hole" in his life.
The presenter, who was fired from the show following an altercation with a producer, said that he is "very sad" about what happened, and admitted that it was his "own silly fault".
Speaking on Chris Evans Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2, he said: "[Top Gear] was very much my baby and I absolutely adored it and I worked all the time on it, all through the night.
"Then suddenly you're not asked to do that any more, [and] you do feel as though there's a big hole which doesn't get filled."
Clarkson did not elaborate on what he would do next, saying he has "listened" to a number of offers.
He added: "I was at the BBC for 27 years. I like the BBC - there are some dreadful people in it but there are also some really talented, brilliant people.
"It's a great organisation and I thank them for giving me such a long time there."
