Matt Bellamy has spoken about his ex-partner Kate Hudson, saying she is a "lovely person".
The Muse frontman and the actress dated from 2010 to 2014 and are parents to three-year-old son Bingham.
Bellamy has now opened up about their split, saying that it is for the best and they're still close.
He told NME: "Look. We had a great relationship, she's a lovely person, we're better off as friends."
The musician added that although he found the break-up difficult, he's now starting to feel "really good" about himself.
He said: "Definitely in the last few months I've been feeling much better. Actually, I've been feeling really good."
