A new director has been linked to the Jack Reacher follow-up starring Tom Cruise.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Edward Zwick is in final talks to take over from previous Jack Reacher director Christopher McQuarrie on the sequel Never Go Back.
If his deal is struck, the film will mark a reunion for Zwick and Cruise, who previously worked together on 2003's The Last Samurai.
Last Samurai co-writer Marshall Herskovitz is also attached to the deal.
Cruise has been confirmed to reprise his role as the enigmatic investigator Reacher in the movie.
