Mariah Carey: 'I've been through so much'

Mariah Carey has admitted that her 'difficult' pregnancy has helped her appreciate other things in life besides her career.

The American singer spoke to ITV's Good Morning Britain about the complications surrounding the birth of her twins Monroe and Moroccan in 2011.

"The pregnancy itself, it was very difficult. I had gestational diabetes, I had preeclampsia, I had all these things you don't even want to know about," she recalled.

"Anyone who's ever had twins, I salute you - seriously anybody out there - because it's not easy."

As for her twin children and the experience of motherhood, she said: "They sing my new song Infinity already - they're already doing the background vocals . . . So that's a good sign to me!"
