Having directed numerous episodes of his procedural show The Mentalist, actor Simon Baker is to direct and star in the dramatic thriller Breath - his feature directing debut.
Deadline.com reports that Breath is based on the Tim Winton novel of the same name and tells the story of two teenage boys who form a bond with an older surfer (Baker) and his wife.
Production will begin in Baker's native Australia in the autumn.
