Twin Peaks creator David Lynch has said that the cult show's much-anticipated return is back on.
The 69-year-old director took to his Twitter account to say that the series' revival on Showtime is "happening again" - and with more than the nine episodes originally planned.
He posted: "Dear Twitter Friends, the rumours are not what they seem. It is !!! Happening again."
Lynch departed the project earlier this year because of budget restrictions.
The new episodes will reportedly pick up 25 years after the original series ended in 1991.
Dear Twitter Friends, the rumors are not what they seem ..... It is !!! Happening again. #TwinPeaks returns on @SHO_Network
