Peter MacNicol is leaving CSI: Cyber, where he played the role of FBI Assistant Deputy Director Simon Sifter.
The former Ally McBeal star is departing the show after one season.
Meanwhile, Ted Danson is joining the series full-time as FBI Special Agent DB Russell after reprising his role in the original CSI series for a two-hour primetime finale.
CSI: Cyber also stars Patricia Arquette and is scheduled to return for a second season this autumn in the US.
CSI: Cyber premieres on RTÉ2 on Tuesday May 26.
