Lightfoot announces first Irish gig in 30 years

Canadian singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot will play his first Irish dates in over 30 years at the Belfast Waterfront on May 31 and Dublin’s Bord Gais Energy Theatre on June 1.

Lightfoot’s extensive list of hits includes Early Morning Rain, If You Could Read My Mind, Sundown, Song For A Winter's Night, Rainy Day People and Did She Mention My Name.

His Belfast and Dublin Shows will feature full band, with 'behind the scenes stories and personal anecdotes' drawn from his 50-year musical career. 

Lightfoot has recorded twenty albums and has five Grammy nominations. His songs have been recorded and performed by Bob Dylan (Early Morning Rain), Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Jr., Olivia Newton-John, Barbra Streisand, Jane’s Addiction, Richie Havens, Glen Campbell, Toby Keith, George Hamilton IV and Eric Clapton.
