Ripper Street has been renewed by Amazon Prime Instant Video for a fourth and fifth season.
The first three series of the Victorian crime drama have been filmed in Dublin.
Ripper Street was axed by the BBC after season two but a rescue deal saw the third season premiere as an Amazon Prime Instant Video exclusive and it will be shown by the BBC this summer.
Season three became the most-watched show on Amazon Prime so the online outlet has now ordered two more instalments of the show.
Ripper Street creator Richard Warlow said of the new commission: "It is a great privilege to be asked to continue this journey through Victorian Whitechapel.
"I had always hoped that Ripper Street would live to follow the world of 'H' Division right through to the end of the Victorian age itself.
"So with many great thanks to Amazon, and all those viewers who have taken Ripper Street to their hearts, it's a delight to have now been given that very opportunity."
Launch dates for both seasons will be announced later this year.
