Michael Fassbender has addressed the leaked Sony email in which Aaron Sorkin said he didn't know who Fassbender was saying he just wants to "get on with" his job.

The email was sent from Sorkin to producer Scott Rudin when they were discussing casting options for the Steve Jobs film and was leaked during the Sony Pictures hacking scandal.

One message from Sorkin to Rudin read, "I don't know who Michael Fassbender is and the rest of the world isn't going to care."

When Fassbender was later cast to play the late Jobs, Sorkin said of the X-Men: Days of Future Past star, "He's a great actor whose time has come."

Speaking to the Associated Press, Fassbender has brushed off the comments saying, "It's whatever. People have opinions. The internet is the internet. I have a job to do, so I just get on with that."
