Floris Wagemakers is taking over Kathryn Burke's garden in Tuam, Co Galway on Super Garden, 8.30pm RTÉ One. Live Champions League/The Football Mavericks (7.30pm TV3/UTV; 10.0pm ITV 4) deal respectively with the almost done deal that is the semi-final Barcelona v Bayern Munich and in The Football mavericks, it's the interplay between footballers and celebrity through the decades. Big Brother (9.00pm Five 3e; 10.00pm TV 3) sees a sixteenth whirl of jaded antics.

Super Garden, 8.30pm RTÉ One

In episode four, Floris Wagemakers takes over Kathryn Burke's garden in Tuam, Co Galway. The brief for Floris was to create a garden which single parent Kathryn and daughter Chelsea can use as they have never used before. Floris will also create an area in the garden dedicated to the memory of Kathryn’s late mother.

Live Champions League/The Football Mavericks, 7.30pm TV3/UTV; 10.00pm ITV 4

Bayern Munich take on Barcelona in the second leg of the semi-final, which truth to tell is unlikely to provide the thrills and spills of last week’s thrilling first leg. The tie is effectively over at this point, unless Bayern work miracles.

Also, if you’re simply simply interested in social history and the psychology of celebrity or how football mixes with celebrity, take note. ITV 4’s new three-part sports documentary series recalls George Best, Stan Bowles, Gazza, Eric Cantona, and latterly Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mario Balotelli. All these players are/were noted for exceptional skill on the pitch which was often overshadowed by their personalities. The series features contributions from Glenn Hoddle, Charlie Nicholas and Frank McAvennie, with views from team-mates and fans.

The second episode focuses on maverick managers and players of the 1980s, including Brian Clough, Ron Atkinson, Glenn Hoddle, Charlie Nicholas, Frank McAvennie, Diego Maradona, Bruce Grobbelaar and Paul Gascoigne. Gazza is pictured below on set with Piers Morgan in 2011.

Emma Willis launches the sixteenth series and 24-year-old model Jade-Martina Lynch from Dublin is the obvious interest this side of the pond. The rather oddly surviving Big Brother continues to trundle along to the jaded indifference of many in tellyland. The house is all 1960s décor, inspired by Mad Men and you can expect the usual mind-numbing trivial event magnified beyond all reason as bombshell news in the tabloids over the next few weeks.
