Fox TV have confirmed that a new version of hit show 24 is in development.
However, it looks like the first season, at least, will be without leading man Kiefer Sutherland, who played uncompromising special operative Jack Bauer in the hit show.
"We're not talking about continuing the show without him," said Fox co-chairperson and CEO Dana Walden. "We're talking about whether there is one instalment that he's not in."
For his part, Sutherland said late last year that he didn't see himself returning to the show.
No timeline has been set for the show's return, with Fox co-chairperson and CEO Gary Newman saying that it is "fairly early in the development process".
