The Feed, a new RTÉ Radio 1 Extra Show about "the people, stories, music and trends" that are dominating online, begins this Saturday, May 9, at 2:00pm.
Presented by Colm Flynn, The Feed will also discuss the latest apps and look at sites that are using technology in an imaginative way.
Flynn said: "More and more, today's generation are turning to sites like StumbleUpon, Reddit, YouTube, Vice News, Funny or Die and many others, to be informed, educated and entertained.
"Often when stories do go viral, there can be very little actual information in the story; it might just be a short video, a photograph or paragraph."
He added: "By talking to those central to the stories we can explore them, discover the background and context and hear the human voices behind them."
