Prince William has said that he is "very happy" at the birth of his daughter today (May 2).
The 32-year-old royal left St Mary's Hospital this afternoon just hours after wife the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton gave birth to their daughter.
He told the crowd outside the hospital: "I'm just going to pick up George," before departing for Kensington Palace.
Prince William returned with his 22-month-old son Prince George, who waved to the waiting crowds, before bringing him into the hospital to visit his new sister.
