The Tribeca Film Festival closed on Saturday night with a special screening of Goodfellas to mark the 25th anniversary of the film's release with Robert DeNiro and Ray Liotta among the stars that took part in a special Q&A session.
The cast and screenwriter Nicholas Pileggi shared stories about their time working on the classic film with the New York crowd. Director Martin Scorsese was absent from the celebrations as he is currently filming his new project.
Liotta told the crowd that Joe Pesci's famous 'Do I Amuse You?' scene was entirely improvised, "Joe was just telling a story in rehearsal about something that happened to him in Queens. Some guy, who happened to be a connected guy, said, 'You think that's funny?'"
Paul Sorvino also revealed that he nearly quit the film three days before filming began, "I was really lost, what do you do, I called my agent up and said, 'Get me out!' Then I was going to fix my tie and I saw this guy [in the mirror]. And it scared the hell out of me. That's the guy!"
