With Friday April 24 the collection day for Special Olympics Ireland, Colin Farrell has made a video, asking members of the public to give what they can to help the 88 athletes who will represent the country at the World Games in Los Angeles this summer.
Farrell says: "It's going to cost a pretty penny to send the 88 athletes who will be representing our country over to Los Angeles for the Games, where they will be competing with thousands of other athletes from around the world."
He continues: "But it's a really worthy cause, of course, and one that's very close to my heart, and, I believe, close to the hearts of the people of Ireland, as was demonstrated in 2003 [when Ireland hosted the Games]."
