Alan Rickman has secretly tied the knot with his partner Rima Horton.
The 69-year-old A Little Chaos actor-director first met his longtime partner when he was 19 and she was just a year younger.
Speaking to German newspaper Bild, Rickman, who has been living with Horton since 1977, said: "We are married. Just recently. It was great, because no one was there.
"After the wedding in New York we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and ate lunch."
Rickman also revealed he bought his wife a wedding ring for €190, even though "she never wears it" and said the ceremony was very low-key.
