Director Brett Ratner has dismissed rumours that he and longtime friend Mariah Carey are now a couple.
Speculation mounted when the filmmaker and singer were recently photographed shopping together in the Caribbean after a joint birthday celebration.
But the Tower Heist and Rush Hour director told E! Online's Marc Malkin: "We're great friends. I'm directing her video. I've been friends with her for 20 years."
Of the speculation, he said: "It makes me laugh, actually. It cracks me up. We're great friends. She's awesome and she's amazing."
