Country star Garth Brooks admits he was surprised to find out Justin Timberlake is a huge fan of his music after the former *NSync star attended one of his concerts and knew the lyrics to his songs.
The Ain't Goin' Down hitmaker revealed he was shocked to see Timberlake in the front row of his comeback tour in Missouri last year.
Speaking to Sirius XM station The Highway, 53-year-old Brooks said: "We're in St. Louis, and (tour manager) Chuck comes, and he goes, 'Justin Timberlake's here,' and I went, 'Hahaha! Yeah, right!' and he goes, 'No, dude. He's here.' My first question was, 'Why?'
"So I come to find out he grew up on our stuff (music). He's right over stage right, and this kid's singing every word, and I'm like, 'Holy cow!'"
Timberlake came backstage after the show and invited Brooks to come to his concert in Nashville.
Brooks wasn't sure at first, but listened to his wife Trisha Yearwood, who told him, "We're going to that concert."
The pair surprised the audience by performing a rendition of Garth's hit track Friends in Low Places.
