It is reported that some U2 fans received an unwelcome surprise after purchasing the deluxe limited edition of the band's latest album Songs of Innocence on Record Store Day last Saturday: the wrong vinyl was inside the sleeve.
The Pulse of Radio reports that copies of alternative metal band Tool's 1992 EP Opiate had been erroneously packed inside the U2 sleeves.
An unnamed label manager in the UK said "a good chunk" of the records were "sleeved at the wrong pressing plant."
Such packaging mistakes often become collector's items.
